Originally built in
the 1940s as "The Frontier," our hotel
has seen the likes of Willie Nelson,
John Wayne and many others over the
years. When the time came for a
renovation in 2005, we replaced just
about everything in the guest rooms
except the doors and the rustic charm.
After all, people like visiting us to
get away from the city and have a taste
of the "cowboy experience."
So, with a few exceptions, our rooms
don’t have things like clock radios,
telephones, coffeemakers, or ironing
boards that you would find at a chain
hotel. (We fudged a little and gave all
our rooms color TVs with cable movies.
And air conditioning. And ceiling fans.
OK, so we’re not purists.) The rooms are
cozy, because rooms were smaller back in
those days. And no, we don't have
an elevator to the second floor, just a
good old-fashioned staircase.
Do you wilt without
room service? Languish without wireless
internet? Get cranky if the doors
aren't perfectly plumb? If so, our
town (and our hotel) probably aren't for
you. Bandera has always been a
rough-and-tumble frontier town, and an
urban-style Hyatt just wouldn't fit
here. We're proud of our Old West
heritage, and most folks love the unique
look of our property and our clean,
comfortable rooms. Unless you run
with the caviar crowd, we think you
will, too.
We offer you 18
Old West-style
Theme Rooms and 2 "Luxury
Rooms" that are more upscale (think
"cowboy chic'). Each room is
unique. And don't forget to check
out our
Room Packages while you're here.
